You can use plain yogurt, (that has live cultures in it) you will need something to use to insert it though. I have used a tampon holder for this. Then lie down and let it do its work. You should feel some relief right away. Also, try taking acidophilus tablets everyday to prevent the yeast from returning. Lactobacillus acidophilus is in yogurt too. Other things with less negatives work too like Monistat, Diflucan, Probiotics, yogurt. One of the good things of garlic is if it is actually bacterial not yeast the garlic will still help. The yogurt is also to be eaten to get some good bacteria flourishing. Some people do use it vaginally also. It can't hurt, but it wasn't that effective (in testing).
