Vaginal yeast infection?
I went to the gyno last month and got tested. I came up positive for chlamydia but i got it treated and so did my partner. I was put on loestrin24 when I went.
Ever since I ended my anitbiotics for the STI I think i have a vaginal yeast infection. I have a lot of white vaginal discharge. It smells kind of sour. sometimes its thick and sometimes its thin. I used monistat and for about a week after the treatment I felt fine. Its back now.
Any ideas on how to prevent besides yogart?
The fastest way to cute one at home?
Does having unprotected sex really add to your chances of getting a yeast infection?

_ YOu probably got if from being on that medication for Chlamydia. antibiotics often cause yeast infections.. You can get something over the counter to fix it
Just deal with the yeast infection – it makes great bread
all i can say is look at this website, has everything you need to know!
http://www.canesten.co.uk/
you can vaginally insert plain yogurt for soothing also take acidophilus supplements as prevention. i know you said no yogurt but that is the only at home remedy i can think of. wear looser clothing to give your body air yeast thrives in heat and moisture. and make sure you wash your clothes after use do not rewear jeans.
Yeast infections can become a "chronic" disease. If it keeps coming back, i would indeed go in and get checked. And get someone to talk in depth with you about this subject and to warn you what will happen and what causes it and so on
Add hops, malt and barley.
Keep at approximately 21°C (69.8°F), in a darkened area (e.g. your underwear) for approximately 4 weeks.
After this time, carefully transfer to bottles, and voila you have made your own homebrew vag beer.
Enjoy!
Some people just get them all the time. It is not fun. Are you sure you had a yeast infection??? Did you itch as well???? If it was something else, maybe the monistat helped for a little while, but you never really cured anything. You can also take acidophiles pills. this also helps with preventing yeast infections.
yeast infections are common. I am sure you will find creams available over the counter in your local drug store.
To answer your second question, it depends on the environment and your partner. Be sure your on clean sheets and your partner is clean.
Yes unprotected sex could have led to your repeat infection. Your partner could be infected and unless he gets treated or you two consistently use protection you may continue to have this yeast problem.
The best cure and fastest too are pharmaceutical preparations such as canesten. But your partner needs to get treated too.
Vitamin B12 supplements also help in preventing yeast as well low sugar diets, cotton undies and loose fitting clothes.
This happened to me. If an over the counter treatment does not work you need a course of antibiotics to treat it. This will work, see your doctor.
