I have a yeast infection but i am unsure how to go about treating it. I was planning on buying some OTC medication such as Monistat but after reading some of the reviews of awful experiences people have i am skeptical. I have never had an infection before and am not sexually active. I have read that you can use garlic, eat yogurt, and take a bath with some apple cider vinegar. Are all these way just as effective as the OTC meds? And will they actually clear it up? I am currently living away from my home town so seeing a doctor right now is out of the question.
Also, will eating the garlic have the same effect as applying it to the area?

I just got my pills to insert for my infection but i had sex earlier today. I was wondering should i still start the medication, because my doctor said not to have sex for 6 days. I think she meant not to have sex if i already started the treatment because it is for 6 days but am not really sure. Should i start it tonight or tomorrow night?
Oh yea and can my partner get it. it was unprotected sex because am pregnant.
