what are the symptoms of yeast infection what does the discharge look like does your vagina swell and get sore I only see discharge when I look inside theres none on my panties and no odor
and does a rash sometimes break out on legs arms face and other parts from a yeast infection?
There is no itching or burning or anything else. Just a weird sour smell. could this be a yeast infection.

Do you have to have discharge for it to be a yeast infection? There is itching and burning (the burning happens when urine passes over the sensitive area) but no discharge or unusual odor. I’m just worried b/c I just got married and started having sex and now this is happening…Never had anything happen before.
I know this is going to sound bad, but about a month ago I started experiencing vaginal itching, discomfort, a little bit of white discharge; all the typical symptoms of a yeast infection. My mom gets them quite frequently and knows all about them, so when I described to her what was going on, she said we should go get an over-the-counter kit (Canesten 1-Treatment cream). I didn’t check with my doctor if what I had was actually a yeast infection, but all the symptoms seemed so spot on to those of a yeast infection so I figured I should just go for it, what harm could it do. I took the 1 treatment kit, then again I think a little while after (not sure exactly how many days after) since it hadn’t really gone away. Then after the second treatment, it disappeared.
Now I have the same symptoms again. I’m on the birth control pill, which I know is a common cause of yeast infections, so I’m pretty positive that I DO indeed have a yeast infection. I just bought a 1-treatment Canesten pill pack today and I was planning to take it tonight, but my mom thinks I should just try an itch relieving cream (like Vagisil) for now, until we actually go to the doctor and get it checked out.
What I’m mostly curious/concerned about is was it really bad to have taken medication for a yeast infection if its possible that I didn’t really have one to begin with? What’s the worst that could happen, if anything?

I’m almost %100 positive that I don’t have an STD (*knock on wood*). I’ve only ever been with one guy, and we were both each other’s first time, so I don’t know where I could get an STD/STI from if I were to actually have one.
