I just got a yeast infection about two days ago, and I have been using the cream stuff with the applicators, and stuff, but at night IT IS PURE HELL, it itches soooooooo bad, what are some natural things to cure the itch so I can sleep? And something that I can make at home, and I don’t have to spend money on? Thanks.

Last night before i went to sleep was the first night I used the 7 day yeast infection treatment. When I pulled the applicator out of me, I saw a vertical line of fresh blood. After the morning, I noticed pink spotting ever since. Whats going on? Has this ever happend to anyone else?

I’ve had yeast infections in the past and my doctor thought Monistat would work best for me and I’ve used it ever since. Through trial and error, I’ve discovered I am one of those girls for whom yeast infection treatments really suck and I have to use the 7-day treatments.
This time my infection got a little worse than normal since I couldn’t treat when I first started showing symptoms (waiting for a paycheque). When I finally took the treatment, all I can say is PAIN PAIN BURNING PAIN! Worse than the infection. I’ve had it before and it felt exactly like it did when we (physician and I) figured I can’t do 1-day or 3 day treatments and have to go to the low-dose 7-day (first time I’ve had that feeling for the 7-day though). I know from the doc, company hotline and the leaflet that this does not mean it is not working, but being in pain "down there" is distracting, for most of the day (interferes with sleep if I do it in the evenings). Distracting is better than the need-to-lie-down feeling of a quicker treatment, I guess.
The only thing I know makes me feel better is rinsing out the medication with cool water… yeah, not a good idea. Any better suggestions?
I’ve already started this treatment (not changing midstream) and I probably won’t have another for months- if not years.
Anyone have suggestions for something to help with my actual problem, now?
PS: Tampons + yeast infection = very bad. Not listening to any suggestions involving that.
