I had a cold and had to take antibiotics. As soon as I was done with the treatment I got a nasty vaginal yeast infection.
I was sick of taking the costly over the counter vaginal suppositories and read somewhere online that douching with vinegar would have the same effect, that is to balance the vaginal PH.
I have used it for 5 days now, diluting one table spoon of vinegar in a cup of luke warm water.
It has helped a great deal and I have been feeling so much better…no more itching and no discharge.
My question: For how long should I continue the vinegar treatment? How and when do I know when the yeast infection is gone for good?
Thanks in advance for your advice.

I have never had a yeast infection before, unfortunately i was prescribed some antibiotics for a urinary tract infection, and the side effect was lo and behold…a yeast infection! I was given fluconazole by my doctor, but the itching that accompanies a yeast infection along with the nasty looking white, thick discharge has taken a while to dissipate. It is now, the fourth day since i took the fluconazole and my symptoms barely seem to be improving…so, i was wondering if normally fluconazole takes a while before it begins clearing up the uncomfortable symptoms that come with a yeast infection. I’ve read information on this, and the majority states that it DOES indeed take about 3-5 days to start making some serious improvements…is this really the case?

my girlfriend and i think she has a yeast infection but arent sure. she had the nasty discharge and chunky stuff. It is her first and we did try that over the night monistat stuff. now the discharge is gone along with the chunky stuff but there are a few sores that still remain. Does this sound like herpes or just a bad case of a yeast infection?
