In late January, I was hit with my first yeast infection. I didn’t want to go to a doctor, because I didn’t feel it was necessary at the time. I treated it with Monistat 3, and it seemed to go away. However, two weeks later it came back. I incorporated yogurt into my diet, and tried three different vaginal yeast infection treatments. Eventually it got so irritating I decided to go the doctor. Got tested and it is indeed a yeast infection. She prescribed me with two doses of Diflucan, and told me to try Monistat again. This worked, however not even a week later, it came back again. So I refilled my Diflucan prescription and tried again, with another dose of Monistat. However, this didn’t work.
Anyone have any suggestions of what I should do? I’m sexually active but I haven’t been since I found out I had a yeast infection so I know we’re not passing it back and forth. I just want this to go away. Having a yeast infection for three months is really starting to annoy me.

okay, so, about a week ago, i started treatment for a yeast infection. i used the monistat 3, and after two days, everything seemed cleared up. then, it started to burn when i urinated again. i’m ovulating, so there is discharge, but it seemed to look normal, and there was no strong scent. there was a very slight underlying scent of yeast, but i know yeast is natural in the vagina, and so i didn’t know if that was a normal scent in ovulating discharge or not. there was no itching, the discharge seemed normal, and there was no strong odor. but there was still that burning. sunday night, i used miconazole 7 because they didn’t have monistat 7 at meijers. it burned like crazy, so i didn’t use any the next night because i wanted to see how i would feel without the medication. still, no scent, normal ovulating discharge, but there’s that burning. then i noticed i felt the need to pee after i had just urinated, and if i focus, i can kinda pinpoint the burning just a tad higher than my vaginal opening. i’ve had UTI’s before, so i’m starting to think that may be it, and i heard some yeast infections can cause UTI’s. so, my question is, do you think this has turned into a UTI? should i still use the miconazole 7, or do you think it’s safe to just start using AZO and treat myself for that? i have big plans coming up so i don’t have any time to go to the doctor’s until after this weekend.
whoops. at the beginning, i meant after two days AFTER finishing the monistat 3. so i took that for three nights, then two days passed and yadda yadda.

Ok, so I think i have a yeast infection…yuck. Its not my first, I think I get them alot but I don’t know what alot is. Anyway, on the box it says;
"Ask a docor before use if you have lower abdominal, back, or shoulder pain, fever, chills, nausea, vomitting, or foul-smelling discharge."
Why does it say that? What are those signs of? I have symptoms of yeast infection (white discharge, itching, and painful sex) & also most of the above symptoms (Bad pain in lower abdomin, SEVERE shoulder pain, back pain, nausea & vomitting almost daily for 2-3 months, foul odor) I would have never thought they were related! Especially since the other symptoms have been going on for a few months & the yeast infection symptoms have only been a week or 2. Whats going on?
I bought OTC Monistat 3 suppositories. I don’t have insurance right now but I amworried because I have been trying to get pregnant for years. I haven’t had a period since may, tested negative on 3 HPTs. Should I be worried?
I don’t think it can be TSS, I never use tampons.

Im 12….
Okay, so, I went to the doctor pondering a yeast infection or a vaginal infection. She just took a swab on the inside of my vagina (not an internal) and guessed it was a yeast infection (I had the burning/itching and clumpy discharge). She said take a treatment.
So, we bought a Monistat 3 day treatment, and all seemed well during the few days. The symptoms went away…and I seemed fine.
But then, about a day after, I’ve got itching again. It is itching rather than burning, and it’s itchy a lot. Every couple minutes I’ll have to scratch. My discharge has been more white, but not clumpy.
What is this?
Where going back to the doctor soon, and I know it isnt a UTI because we tested for it at the doctor.
I am awaiting my period (still).
Thanks!
Im not sexually active. Why would i be?

I let mine get a little out of hand. I am currently using the monistat 3 combo pack. The irritation is kinda bad,itchy, stings and such. I just need something that will help with the pain and irritation. I have plain miconazole nitrate. Please and thank you
