I’ve had yeast infection before (specifically around 2 – 3 months ago) and that time I was able to get rid of it through simply taking the suggested Monistat 1.
Around a week ago I started to show the same symptoms so assuming it to be yeast again, I took the Walgreens brand treatment instead of Monistat to save myself 7 dollars. However, I am now regretting this decision as it’s been nearly 3 days since I took the medication and the symptoms have only toned down. I’m very worried as the box explicitly stated that the process should take only a day. If it might be significant, I also started my menstrual cycle a day before I applied the medication.
Could anyone give me their opinions on this? Could I have possibly developed some resistance to yeast infection medications? Is it perhaps not yeast? (My symptoms are: vaginal burning/itching, it hurts when I pee, my discharge is clumpy, and I have a headache)
If it helps I’m nearly 16.

I have been going through what i thought and was diagnosed with yeast infections and bacterial infections for about 8 months now. The medications the doctors gave did nothing. After suffering for so long i knew that i was being diagnosed wrong. I finally had a doctor who would actually give me a vaginal culture and they found 4+ e-coli. I was negative for yeast and bv. My doctor gave me antibiotics for it and it still remains.I was on the treatment for 7 days. Has anyone ever heard of this before? If so do you have any advice in hopes get rid of it? I have also been tested for everything so that’s all ruled out thank god. I also know that it is bacteria from a bowel, i really do not know how i got this, im very clean and wipe correctly and i do not have anal sex.

I’m pretty sure I got this from taking the antibiotics I have been taking. I am unsure if I should treat it somehow myself by using over the counter medications or home remedies, or if I should consult a doctor. I am almost positive that this is what it is though based on other websites. I have all of the symptoms of a rectal yeast infection. any home remedy suggestions? thanks!

Me and my wife has been fighting yeast infections for past two years, because they are rec-curing and we have gone to our family doctor. He has prescribed a load of medications for us, for me a Micronozol Nitrate cream with Fluzon pills every week for three months, Same for my wife with three days of candid be vaginal insertions. After this treatment, Yeast infection has backed down and we only had about two infections from 2010 December.
I was just wandering if this Oral sex can cause yeast infections? Saliva might be having loads of yeast which triggers? If so how do i minimize this? having a throat and mouth gargle before oral? any suggestions.
