This question is for women with chronic BV only.
Im going to give you a little background info first.
I am 24 and have been suffering from chronic Bacterial Vaginosis for 7 years. I have tried every prescription under the sun (metro-gel, clindess, Boric Acid, Flagyl, etc). All they seem to do is get rid of it till my monthly cycle comes then BAM, back to where I started. Also, with using the antibiotics I just end up replacing the BV with a yeast infection and then my monthly comes around and guess what?!?!? Yep, BV again! All my doctors can basically do is give me the antibiotics and wish me luck. I have stopped taking birth control pills (since that can cause infections) and have stopped smoking. I am at my wits end and I am just about to give up on finding something that works and just live with it. I’ll be honest, I get it anywhere from 8-13 times a year and I’m sick of throwing money down the drain.
What did you do to cure your chronic BV? Do you have any other recommendations? I have been doing research for years now and the only things I have not tried are the natural remedies. TIA

I am experiencing some different vaginal discharge than what I normally have. My vagina is not swollen, red, or burning, it is moderately itchy though, and I have a very thin, almost milky white discharge, but it’s not a lot and it’s not clumpy. I don’t think it’s a yeast infection, because I had one before and it doesn’t look or feel the same. What could be causing this? I was taking acidophilus tablets over a period of a few months, but I didn’t like the way they made me feel, so I stopped. Could this be my vagina trying to regulate itself again without the help of the acidophilus? I’m not really that uncomfortable, just worried. I’m supposed to get my period next week so should I wait until after and see if it goes away? Any input would be greatly appreciated, and please don’t give me that website about natural cure for yeast infections – 1. I am 99% sure it’s not one, and 2. that website is NOT helpful.
Thank you!!!
P.S. I am on birth control (ortho tri cyclen lo) but I know I am not pregnant because I haven’t had sex since before my last period. I also know it’s not an STD because I’ve only had one partner and he was tested.
