Question about yeast infection symptoms?
I was diagnosed with a yeast infection by my gynecologist back in November, but it was very mild, so she gave me a prescription for some cream and told me to fill it only if I started to get symptoms. Well, for the past few weeks, (TMI warning) I was feeling somewhat itchy down there, I was getting some of that distinctive cottage cheese discharge, and I realized that I was drying out very quickly during sex, and that was making sex rather uncomfortable and somewhat painful. Over the past few days, the discharge became more copious, and this morning, when I woke up, it burned when I urinated, so my mother (who is a P.A.) wrote me a prescription for Diflucan, which I took this morning.
My question is, I really haven’t been itching or burning all that much: I only have the discharge and the painful urination (it only starts to hurt about halfway through). Is it common to have a yeast infection without intense itching and/or burning?

Sometimes when you have sex with a yeast infection, the bacteria or yeast can move into the urethra with all the friction going on when having sex. You may now have a urinary tract infection or the first stage of one. Check with your mom or go to the doctor and have them check you. Yeast can be passed back and forth from you to your partner and ect.,.
Sometimes you just have a yeast infection with your urinary track or somthing my sister had the same problem
But for me i’ve never had a problem like that so im sorry if this didnt help at all.
Although itching with a yeast infection is very common,e very woman shows different symptoms for different infections. If you have the cottage cheese like discharge but no itching, you still have a yeast infection. The pain during sex is a clue too, every time i’ve had one I’ve always experienced burning during intercourse.
