I have a yeast infection and my boyfriend of 2 years wants sex tonight but I feel like I should not have sex with him with a yeast infection as I do not want to pass it on to him. Is it possible to pass it onto him? also what is the best cure for a yeast infection?
Thank you

You definitely should not have sex with a yeast infection. If he’s your boyfriend of two years then I would fully expect him to understand! Just say "I can’t, I have a vaginal infection and I’m sore". If he doesn’t understand then he’s a complete twat and he’s obviously only with you for the sex. The best cure is to go to the pharmacy and get the once only tablet and some cream to apply around the outer vaginal area. You SHOULD NOT have sex though.
Tell him you have a yeast infection. I don’t know the best cure but I guess if it was me I would get some over the counter stuff and eat yogurt.
Yes, you can pass it on to him though it will affect him differently then it affects you and if both of you fail to get rid of the yeast infection completely before you have sex it will keep passing back and forth in a vicious cycle.
I also don’t imagine it would be very comfortable or pleasureable for you. There are over the counter medicines you can get at your pharmacy…Monistat, Vagisil are a couple.
Yes they can! And they’re way harder to get rid of for guys than they are for girls. Explain to him that it’s sort of like an STD as far as sharing goes. If you get start getting them frequently there’s a chance you might be pregnant.
They have kits that have both cream to relieve itching and inserts to balance out yeast growth for $10-20 at most stores. Monistat is one of the most advertised but I’ve always used Equate (Walmart brand) with mine and it does the job.
Just say "I want to have sex but I don’t want anything to happen to you or me cause I have a yeast infection can we wait to until it’s all cleared up?" If he really loves you then he’ll understand cause you don’t wanna get him sick to and if your really unsure then call your gynecologist and ask them and see what they say
google pictures of a male penis with yeast infection and ask him if he wants his to look like that.
I’m sure he will want to wait till its cleard up after looking at the images
Yeast infections generally are not transmitted sexually. They can be cured by inserting an antifungal cream directly into the vagina, but are not available with out a prescription. You may want to get yourself tested for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea, just for peace of mind because they have the same signs and symptoms of a yeast infection. You may also consider getting a Urinalysis Screening, which will check for any other types of bacterial infections, like trich, UTI, bacterial vaginosis, yeast infection, etc.
