how can i help prevent recurrent yeast infections?
For the past 7 months i keep having reocurring yeast infections. i’ve also had two bacterial vaginal infections but those have been cured with antibiotics, which i’m sure have only made the infections not really go away. With the yeast infections, they clear with the over-the-counter products, but once i have sex, they come back! and i am using a condom, so i know it’s not being passed back and forth. I’m beyond frustrated with this… HELP!

ok, first things first – a yeast infection is caused by an imbalance in your vagina – try not to wear tight clothes and underwear (try wearing cotton undies) no thongs!!! they can transmit the bacteria from the anus to the vagina!
try not to use scented soaps or perfumes for down there. They can upset the balance of yeast etc. (you could try using Vagisil feminine wash)
Stress could be another reason that youre having reocurring infections.
You shouldnt really be using over the counter remedies if you have had two bouts of yeast infection within six months of each other – I personally think it’s time you got to your doctor for some further tests…
It could just be that youre not getting rid of the infection entirely.
good luck anyway!!
