i have infact had this infection and here are some ways to help it go away
Step 1 Eat yogurt. It contains helpful bacteria (live cultures, including acidophilus and bifidus) that destroy yeast. It also works when applied topically. Insert some into the vagina using a finger or plastic tampon applicator. Use only plain yogurt with active cultures.
Step 2 Take lactobacillus/acidophilus supplements. Use according to the directions on the bottle.
Step 3 Douche with a solution of 1 to 3 tbsp. vinegar in a quart of water. Repeat once a day while having symptoms, but no longer than a week.
Step 4 Decrease or eliminate sugar and sugary foods. Sugar promotes yeast growth.
Step 5 Use a garlic clove as a suppository. Garlic contains a natural anti-fungal agent. Peel a fresh clove, wrap it in gauze and insert it into the vagina.
Step 6 Try gentian violet. It’s a traditional remedy for yeast and other infections, and can be found in pharmacies. Swab the area with it once or twice a day. Make sure to use a thick pad – it stains everything.
Step 7 Use an herbal douche. Combine equal amounts of sage, raspberry and comfrey with 1/4 part goldenseal. This can be combined with cider vinegar.
Step 8 Use an over-the-counter yeast infection remedy. Apply as directed.
yogurt! and antibiotics
Can you fit a tampon in there?
If so, let a tampon soak in yogurt, then insert it.
The yogurt should help it.
The best thing to treat a yeast infection is yogurt.
Get some cream from the chemist and a pill to kill the yeast infection !
well dont rub yeast on your YOO HOO! thats for sure
Unfortunately, there are nothing that treat a yeast infection at home. And your vagina can stretch if you slowly put the applicator in. You could even try using some lubricant while inserting. Monistat 7 is your best bet.
I used monistat… got it at the grocery store. It’s a pill that comes with an inserter and u put it in like a tampon…
it goes right to the source so it was basically instant relief for me
not huge… should go in fine
home remedies arent a good idea
if they dont totally get rid of it you can get pelvic inflammatory disease or become sterile… which would suck!
You can buy a cream over the counter like at a Rite-Aid (pharmacy store). I think its call Vagistat something like that. Good Luck
Treatment
Candida species are frequently part of the human body’s normal oral and intestinal flora. Treatment with antibiotics can lead to eliminating the yeast’s natural competitors for resources, and increase the severity of the condition.
In clinical settings, candidiasis is commonly treated with antimycotics—the antifungal drugs commonly used to treat candidiasis are topical clotrimazole, topical nystatin, fluconazole, and topical ketoconazole. For example, a one-time dose of fluconazole (as Diflucan 150-mg tablet taken orally) has been reported as being 90% effective in treating a vaginal yeast infection. This dose is only effective for vaginal yeast infections, and other types of yeast infections may require different treatments. In severe infections (generally in hospitalized patients), amphotericin B, caspofungin, or voriconazole may be used. Local treatment may include vaginal suppositories or medicated douches. Gentian violet can be used for breastfeeding thrush, but pediatrician William Sears recommends using it sparingly, since in large quantities it can cause mouth and throat ulcerations in nursing babies, and has been linked to mouth cancer in humans and to cancer in the digestive tract of other animals.
Treating candidiasis solely with medication may not give desired results, and other underlying conditions may be the cause. Oral candidiasis can be the sign of a more serious condition, such as HIV infection or other immunodeficiency diseases. Maintaining vulvovaginal health can help prevent vaginal candidiasis.
C. albicans can develop resistance to antimycotic drugs, such as fluconazole, one of the drugs that is often used to treat candidiasis. Recurring infections may be treatable with other anti-fungal drugs, but resistance to these alternative agents may also develop.
Good luck.
yogurt and LOTS of water
Yogurt (no sugar, preferrably) Acidophilus cultures (you can buy milk with this in it)
I never heard of yogurt curing a yeast infection only preventing it. I used to get them all the time and they are uncomfortable. You can try an oer the count cream or capsule. Even if you cant use the applicaters you might be able to use you finger to get in in there, any little bit would help. I would reccomend getting it checked first to rule anything else out. walmart sells a home test to check for vaginal infections. IF you go to the doctor, you may be able to get diflucan, its a pill you take once and it should clear right up. Also you may want to get vagisil to help wht any itching. Also try not to confuse your discomfort with simple irritation. You could be irritated from any soaps you use in the shower or if you take bubble baths
eat yogurt
Probably the quickest and easiest way to cure a yeast infection is through medication. The applicator to insert the pills/cream is very small, smaller than your finger, so it should work.
Only eating yogurt would take a long time for it to take effect. Do a search for "natural yeast infection cures" and you can find tonnes more information on it. Your body is out of balance, and it will take some time to get it back to normal.
Below are a couple of links to sites that talk about some of the natural remedies.
I don’t know about the yogurt thing, but I’ve used the solution from http://www.yeastsinfectionsnatural.com and it cured my yeast infection.
you probably should try it too.
Yes, yogurt can help, but it’s a very specific type of yogurt. Certain types are good and certain types are bad.
Make sure it’s plain with no sugar, no additives, no coloring and is not heat-treated. You can find that in most health food stores.
It helps because it contains a friendly probiotic bacteria which aids your digestion & increases your immune system.
You can also apply it topically and it will soothe quickly.
You can eat it – about a cup should do it. That will take longer before you feel relief though.
