Does Monistat yeast infection treatment make you itch?
I'm treating myself for a yeast infection with Monistat.
Tonight will be my third night in a row using the pre-filled creme suppositories.
The symptoms are going away, there is not burning and almost no itching or irritation. EXCEPT for when I put in the creme at night. For some reason it starts to itch — like in the walls of my vagina — everywhere the creme is touching.
QUESTION: Is the yeast infection treatment (Monistat creme) in this case supposed to make it itch? Is that like a side effect?
And is it okay to buy 2 boxes of the 3-Day Monistat treatment and use it for like 4 or 5 days if i'm still having symptoms after the first 3 day pack is finished? (In other words is it okay to use more than one box of treatment?) Because I'm not sure that the yeast infections is 100% gone.
Thanks for the help!

The itch and very slight burn starts at the base/ opening of my vagina and runs all the way up (to what feels like) behind my navel.
It's not an intense itching, but definitely noticeable and extremely uncomfortable.
AGAIN: Is this normal? What should I do?

hmm i never had that problem with monistat… maybe you are having an allergic reaction. and yes i would say that it is fine to use two boxes but if it still isnt clear or comes right back then you need to see your dr. you might also want to ask your dr about the itching caused by the creme. good luck to ya
