vaginal yeast infection treatment Archives

I’ve had chronic vaginal yeast infections for over a year, and they keep getting more and more severe it seems no matter what I do. The yeast keeps getting immune to antifungals and no matter what treatment I use it comes back within 3 days. It’s so bad, that it even grows effectively in some anti-fungal creams like miconozal and monostat. I’ve tried everything from dieting to douching with hydrogen peroxide. Lately I have been getting horrible cramps and nausea. I’m afraid that this condition will kill me. Can someone please help?

What Vaginal Infection do I have?

I’m a lesbian. When I was with my girlfriend last, she said that my vagina had an odd smell. I know that she’s had a Yeast infection for the last few months or so, but it’s not supposed to be spreadable through sexual intercourse. Every day since now, when I pee, there’s a burning sensation. Today when I checked, I found that I was abnormally wet. It was this whitish stuff when I put my finger in there and checked it out. It was a little bubbly. I checked for a rash, but I didn’t see one.
I really don’t feel comfortable seeing a doctor about this, because I don’t want this doctor or my parents knowing about my sex life. Please help! Treatments? I know that they’re available without a prescription.

I’ve had yeast infection before (specifically around 2 – 3 months ago) and that time I was able to get rid of it through simply taking the suggested Monistat 1.

Around a week ago I started to show the same symptoms so assuming it to be yeast again, I took the Walgreens brand treatment instead of Monistat to save myself 7 dollars. However, I am now regretting this decision as it’s been nearly 3 days since I took the medication and the symptoms have only toned down. I’m very worried as the box explicitly stated that the process should take only a day. If it might be significant, I also started my menstrual cycle a day before I applied the medication.

Could anyone give me their opinions on this? Could I have possibly developed some resistance to yeast infection medications? Is it perhaps not yeast? (My symptoms are: vaginal burning/itching, it hurts when I pee, my discharge is clumpy, and I have a headache)

If it helps I’m nearly 16.

Don’t mean to be overly personal or gross, just trying to give more information so I can get the info I’m looking for. Having yeast and bv going back and forth. The traditional medications of Clindamax (antibiotic suppository) and Diflucan
just keep the two conditions going. Any suggestions appreciated.

Vaginal question for ladies only?

I finished my OTC yeast infection treatment 3 days ago, and so far it’s been normal, milky white discharge, no itching, but today when i checked I saw some small white chunks a long with the milky white stuff; kind of reminded me of the medication maybe still being up there and it’s slowly coming out; but I just wanted to know if this normal. I am not itching, and it doesn’t smell weird or anything. Thanks!
