No, of course not. The majority of women will have a yeast infection at some point in their life, it is considered to be normal. You can even buy medication to treat it over the counter, which speaks to how common yeast infections are. Even guys can get yeast infections. Yeast infections can also occur in the mouth but in such cases are more commonly referred to as thrush.
Certain STDs (chlamydia being the main one) can scar your fallopian tubes and make ovulation virtually impossible to be completed, which can cause infertility in women. But a yeast infection itself just affects the vagina, not your reproductive organs (uterus, ovaries, or fallopian tubes).
It is common, treatable, and should not leave any lasting side effects!
