Can a fresh garlic clove really cure a yeast infection? Please help!?

I think I have a yeast infection (itchy vaginal entrance and labia with little discharge that started about a week ago and progressively has gotten worse). So does inserting a clove of garlic really work? And what about triamcinolone ointment? I read that that can actually work too?
Thank you!
Does it sound like original strength vagisil cream would work for me instead?

Drink lots of cranberry juice, 100% natural, not mixed with applie juice or other juice, no diet, no high fructuose sugars (sugar makes yeast multiply) or take this http://www.cystex.com/Pages/Cystex_Liquid_Cranberry or http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/186-3950428-6849253?asin=B001JK3NTK&AFID=Froogle_df&LNM=|B001JK3NTK&CPNG=health%20beauty&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=B001JK3NTK&ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001
Eat plain yogurt. Not diet, no sugar or low sugar. Eat lots of it, normalizes the yeast count.
Take cool baths a few a day just enough to soak your privates and put some baking soda in the water.
You can also do the monistat or like vaginal inserts.
I usually do the cranberry juice or tabs, baths, and yogurt for 2 days and if I see no change then get the monistat or like.
This is good for the outside itch: http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/186-3950428-6849253?asin=B001JT93FO&AFID=Froogle_df&LNM=|B001JT93FO&CPNG=health%20beauty&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=B001JT93FO&ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001
If there is a chance you have an STD it could be that too so that would need to be checked out.
Also if you never had a yeast infection, might want to go to a doctor.
Always consult a doctor for medical advice, this is just my opinion from my experience.
Why don’t you just buy some vagisil. Sticking a garlic clove down there could make it worse.
I wouldn’t recommend putting garlic in your cervix. If you have an infection (vaginitis), which is a bacteria you will need antibiotics.
You either need to make an appointment with you OB/GYN or go to your local health department.
