Are these the symptoms of a yeast infection?

I wiped today and there was a thick yellow mucus-like discharge. I’ve never had something like this before. However, it does not itch. So I’m wondering if this is a yeast infection or not?

Symptoms of a yeast infection include:
* vaginal itching
* vaginal burning
* vaginal irritation
* painful urination
* painful sexual intercourse
* odorless vaginal discharge (may be thick whitish-gray and cottage-cheese-like or may be watery in consistency)
From what I know, normally yeast infections itch though =/. If it’s not a yeast infection I’m thinking you have something else like an STD or cervical cancer. I would definitely go to a doctor
However, if you’re pregnant and you’re getting yellow discharge, that’s totally normal.
Good luck!!
If it had a bad odor, it was probably bacterial vaginitis which needs to be treated with a prescription.
Different types of infections:
Signs of yeast infections:
White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
Intense itching
Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
Itching or burning
Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva
Signs of trichomoniasis
A watery, yellowish or greenish bubbly discharge
An unpleasant odor
Pain and itching when urinating
Most apparent after your period
Different Types of Discharge:
White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.
Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.
Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.
Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.
Spotting Blood/Brown Discharge: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown. This may occur when you are ovulating/mid-cycle.
Your normal white/clear discharge will turn yellow or dry yellow when exposed to air.
A yellowish type discharge usually means that you have a bacterial vaginosis infection. This occurs when there is an overgrowth of bacteria that normally inhabit the body. Since it is not sexually transmitted, your partner does not have to be treated. Make sure you eat a balanced diet, and drinking acidophilus milk or eating yogurt that contains live Lactobacillus organisms can also be helpful in keeping a balance. Cotton underwear is also helpful in preventing moisture from developing. Make sure after going to the bathroom that you wipe from front to back. Avoid use of any types of feminine sprays, talcs etc as they can also disrupt the normal balance. Also avoid any type of scented toilet paper. Eating yogurt daily is also helpful in keeping a balance. You can read more about BV here

You will need to make an appointment with your doctor for a swab test, and prescription antibiotics.
