Try Over the Counter Remedies for Yeast Infections
Have you tried some over-the-counter medication in order to take care of the yeast infection? These have several different names but monistat is one of the more popular types. Although this is effective in getting rid of the yeast infection, there are some reasons why you might want to avoid this type of treatment. In the first place, you’re not going to totally get rid of the yeast and you should not attempt to do so anyway. By treating the yeast with one of these over-the-counter medications, you are simply getting rid of the weaker yeast and leaving the stronger yeast behind. Whenever an infection recurs, it is from a stronger strain and is subsequently more difficult for you to get rid of by the same means.
That is why it is a much better idea for you to try to get rid of your yeast infection through natural means. If you are dealing with a vaginal yeast infection, you might want to try covering the area with yogurt on a regular basis. I know this sounds a little bit strange but the bacteria that is present in the yogurt mimics some of the natural bacteria that may be missing in your body. It won’t completely kill the yeast but it will keep it under control and eventually get rid of the infection.

you NEED to go to the doctor, it can turn into a bigger infection that will be even more painful to get rid of.
discharge is normal but if you have itching and burning with smelly, clumpy discharge then you NEED to see the doctor. i know you dont want to hear that but your body is growing up and you need to too. warm water will NOT clear it up, only meds will.
theres no reason to be embaressed about it, its a normal thing that most women experience and your doctor knows that too. i promise, the doctor isnt going to laugh at you, or thing your disgusting. its a part of life youll have to deal with and if you dont get it treated, it will turn into something worse.
[edit] just because you throw a hissy fit about going doesnt mean that we are not giving you the right answer. you cant take medication for something you dont have, its harmful to your body. you should be diagnosed with it before taking monistat. you didnt tell us about ANY of your symptoms other than discharge and like i said, discharge is normal unless its smelly, chunky, or cottage cheese-like and you have itching and burning. monitstat will not make regular discharge stop because it is not an infection. it would be nice if you could stop chewing people out who have taken time out of their day to help you because they have the experience that you clearly dont.
You can get yeast infection medicine from any drug store or walmart. it is usually a 3-10 day dose. And eat lots of yogurt that kills it too.
You need to talk with some one you can trust, like one of your older relatives like mom or aunt, about this. I was going to become a gynecologist, I hear there are a lot of openings in that field.
sometimes you have to go to the dr. in order to get rid of it but you can sit in a bathtub of very warm water and add a box of baking soda not a great big box but a medium box. then get some monistat 3 cream this will work unless you have waited to long or it is not a yeast infection. make sure you are completely dry before using the cream because if you dont it wont soak in good. i wont promise you that it will work but it has worked for me before. the reason i said monistat 3 is because it is suppose to be better in 3 days that is what the 3 stands for.some of it takes 7 days or more.
Are you afraid of the exam if the doctor will not give you an eternal or even look at you with out another female present and it he tries request that a nurse be present .he might just want you to describe you symptoms to him with out even looking at you.apparently all natural yogurt works but i would not use something like monostat with out consulting some one first even a pharmacist
